CoastNet Corporate Members

CoastNet has always been a network. Even before CoastNet was created in 1996, the network existed as the ‘Heritage Coast Forum’. We have a long history of working with and supporting coastal practitioners, and we intend to carry on in this way. Our members are our link to the real world. They tell us what is happening in communities, in local authorities, in government agencies, in the European Commission, in countries across the world. Through our members we also understand what the needs are of the coastal management community, so that we can work to provide guides and tools that really are useful. Also, our members are an unparalleled source of knowledge and expertise.

CoastNet is constantly growing. In comparison with even 5 years ago we communicate with a much more diverse and numerous group of people and organisations. For individual members, we are aware that membership fees are often a barrier to receiving the full benefit of what CoastNet can offer, so we are abolishing membership fees for individuals. We are using this opportunity to introduce new tools and resources on the internet – for example our members magazine, the Edge, is now a dynamic e-zine with articles, opinion, news and a photo gallery with stories from our readers.
